From exploration to production
Nory is a Restaurant OS, showcase below reflects work done between Seed and Series B. As a Design Lead in Vertical SaaS my role was to derisk our hypothesis, reduce onboarding time, bring value while as the same time building from a first principle and compounding startup.
Role & Impact
Product and Design Engineering, throwing prototypes in Slack channels and showing customers where we are heading.
Helped close deals on calls with customers. Some of the prototypes ended up in investors' hands who invested in our Series B.
Core Features & Redesign
Working on one of the most impactful parts of the product. While working on other projects, I was assigned to steer the project to the right path and design a scheduling assistant that reduces manual labor and cognitive load by 90%.
The core plan was to keep building more ARR opportunities while at the same time having the ability to rebuild the legacy part of our product.
Design System - Bento
I lead the design and engineering of Bento Design System. From getting buy-in from the CEO to the smallest pixel alignments.
I never advocate for design systems as a means to sell better design. The biggest and most overlooked return is on dev experience and agentic workflows. Velocity is everything.
Impact
Quick win - within 1Q, Bento was covering 18% of the front-end. Engineers were praising the dev experience with Tailwind as the main style driver.
Long win - Increase in front-end builds by 4x while decreasing time to respond by ~2x.
Ask me about
Going from smallest details in Design System, user interviews, all the way to 5 year long vision.
How to build for different archetypes (data savvy - Ops and pragmatic General Managers/Chefs/Servers).
